In a world where precision and timing are key, Steven Stamkos, the rising ice hockey star certainly knows the importance of a split second. Canadian professional ice hockey center and alternate captain for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Stamkos “91”became an ambassador for Tissot in 2008, the same year he was drafted for the NHL. Since then Stamkos joined up with Team Canada at the 2009 IIHF World Championships in Switzerland, in which he was nominated to the all-star team for being a top scorer.
In 2010 he was winner of the Rocket Richard Trophy for the most goals scored in the NHL season. Tissot has been the Official Timekeeper of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships since 1996 and now they have partnered with the young, successful and dynamic Stamkos, producing a sleek limited edition of 910PRS200s.
The solid stainless steel case protects the precise Swiss movement, which enables you to time events up to 30 minutes with 1/10 split second accuracy. Standard hours, minutes and “red T” stopwatch seconds all extend from the center and a tachymeter scale is located on the flange, surrounded by a unidirectional bezel.
