Born a mere 15 miles from the Germany's oldest watchmaking center, Martin Braun was influenced by horology from his beginning. He became an official watchmaker after graduating with honors from Pforzheim's famed School of Watchmaking in 1983 and earned the title of master watchmaker in 1991 when he was 27 years of age. His hope to "capture the sun" in a timepiece led to ten years of experimenting and developing which resulted in the presentation of the EOS model in 2000, a watch that reveals times of sunrise and sunset. He simultaneously launched the Martin Braun brand, which features watches strictly of his design--from the inside outward. His designs continue to garner acclaim and awards. When you wear a Martin Braun, you experience a singular mechanical finesse, a timepiece that not only tells the time but charts the sunlight as well.
